As I mentioned in my previous post, Texans may now order the Bolt EV. Several of the Bolt EV fans, around here, have placed orders with us and all these first orders have gone active, in the GM ordering system. They are all in “preliminary” status, awaiting their slot in production.
What we do not know yet, is if the earlier-than-planned order acceptance means we’ll receive the first Bolt EVs a month early. I am now very optimistic that the first will arrive in July (oh, please. oh, please. oh, please.).
Our two CCS fast chargers have arrived, but are not yet installed.
and now the wait begins…
What kind of DC fast chargers did you get?
50 kW or something better?
Charge point or EV go?
I hope. You did not get any of those terrible SigInt chargers.
I haven’t checked. They’re whatever General Motors has instructed the dealerships to get. Stay tuned…
I have read that they are GM-branded Chargepoint Express 100s that were shipped to most dealerships.
They 24kW chargers – so a bit slower than the average evGo charger. But way more reliable than Blink DC chargers. Much faster than L2 charging.
It should charge a Bolt in 2 hours or less depending on the beginning state of charge.
I’m going to call to place a deposit and an order after work tomorrow… 2 years of waiting and the Bolt is nearly mine! 🙂
Got my contact info? 😉
