Escape from Big Oil

We completed the second long distance EV run, in Texas, as promised. If you’ve been looking forward to the videos, it’s been a while. I have been learning about video editing from my friend, Charles Mills of VioletCAM Media. Bonnie (my wife) is also a professional video editor, but she’s been swamped. I’ve learned that video editing, on a 8 year old computer, is time-consuming. I’ve also learned that videos are never finished, in the eyes of the editor. There’s always one more tweak you want to make but at some point, you have to just let go and release it into the world and hope for the best.

Here are the videos from the 637 mile drive around the “Texas Triangle” that Charles and I drove on November 22, 2020. Enjoy!

About the author

An accidental EVangelist: On my way to work at Apple one morning, my car was rear-ended (and totaled) by an SUV, driven by a guy playing with his smartphone.
This led me to get my first plug-in vehicle.
I started blogging about my experiences immediately.
A year later, in 2013, I was hired by the dealership as their "EVangelist."
I became a board member with the Texas Electric Transportation Resources Alliance (www.TxETRA.org) and perform public speaking in the DFW area regarding electric vehicles and environmental issues.
I also teach others how to sell plug-in vehicles or manage EV sales.
I'm on a mission.
