Yes, the 2016 Chevy Volt has been named Green Car Report’s “Best Car to Buy 2016!”

But, of course, you’ve been expecting this, right? The teaser article, rating the new Toyota Prius against the Volt was no real ruse. No one was fooled by it! There was no doubt that the Volt was the clear winner.

Of course, I cannot get one in Texas, but I already have a 2017 on order with General Motors. Production will commence on the 2017’s on February 1st, 2016, so they should start arriving in dealerships by late March.

Mine will be a Silver Ice Metallic Premium model. I’m told that’s the best way to make the metallic lime green wrap really “pop!”Synergy Green Volt

About the author

An accidental EVangelist: On my way to work at Apple one morning, my car was rear-ended (and totaled) by an SUV, driven by a guy playing with his smartphone.
This led me to get my first plug-in vehicle.
I started blogging about my experiences immediately.
A year later, in 2013, I was hired by the dealership as their "EVangelist."
I became a board member with the Texas Electric Transportation Resources Alliance (www.TxETRA.org) and perform public speaking in the DFW area regarding electric vehicles and environmental issues.
I also teach others how to sell plug-in vehicles or manage EV sales.
I'm on a mission.
