Interesting incident at work: I was walking near our Service drive charger and a Volkswagen e-Golf was backing into the handicapped parking space to charge. Quite often, the actual parking spot for the charger is blocked by loaner vehicles returned by customers. As always, I went over to greet the EVers and was told by one of them, that it is a prototype they’ve been driving around, on road tests.
They told me I could not take any photos of the vehicle.
I sent a colleague out to see if he could surreptitiously shoot some photos or a video. He did and the VW guys unplugged and left, when they spotted him. They were only there about fifteen minutes, so I don’t think they were charged…
Very cool! Although I would never buy an e-golf.
In the US and China there have been sightings of the Buick version of the Volt called the Velite.
As far as I’m aware, it is only coming to China, but it is a good looking car. I wish Buick was eyeing it for release stateside!
Buick is a status brand in China.
The Volt should have been a Buick originally.
