My numbers for 2016

My 2nd full year in car sales is complete. Back at the beginning of the year, I made selling 100 vehicles my goal. I hit the 100th sale on January 2nd (the end of GM’s quarter was January 4th). I followed that up with another two on the last day of the year, for a total of 102 vehicles sold.

My customer service scores and my OnStar activation percentage were both near the theoretical maximum, so I will be awarded General Motors Mark of Excellence for a second time. This time, they’ll take my ring back, in order to install its first diamond. I suppose they will send a new metal plate for the front of the presentation box, showing “2nd Year.”Mark of Excellence

I want to thank all my customers from 2015 for their help in achieving this!

Writing this got me wondering what vehicles I sell most often. Here’s a look at my entire sales history here at Classic Chevrolet:My Sales NumbersMy Sales Chart

It’s not too surprising that my number one vehicle is the Silverado. In Texas, pickup trucks are EVERYWHERE. I am pleased that my second best model is the Volt (of course). Of course, I can’t be too upset that the Corvette is my third best selling model. 😉

About the author

An accidental EVangelist: On my way to work at Apple one morning, my car was rear-ended (and totaled) by an SUV, driven by a guy playing with his smartphone.
This led me to get my first plug-in vehicle.
I started blogging about my experiences immediately.
A year later, in 2013, I was hired by the dealership as their "EVangelist."
I became a board member with the Texas Electric Transportation Resources Alliance (www.TxETRA.org) and perform public speaking in the DFW area regarding electric vehicles and environmental issues.
I also teach others how to sell plug-in vehicles or manage EV sales.
I'm on a mission.
