NDEW2021 – Grapevine, Texas

I had such a fun time at the National Drive Electric Week gathering in Grapevine, Texas yesterday. The North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) did a great job (as usual) and the turnout was great. I saw so many friends, who bought a Volt or Bolt EV from me, back when I sold cars. I kept hearing my name called out as they spotted me. (I was hard to miss…)

I like to think my EVangelism is contagious. It makes me happy that so many people, who I helped take a first step in electric transportation, continue to be active at events like this. They, like me, are “spreading the “Good News” of EVs!

P.S. Kudos for having an electric school bus at the event!!!

About the author

An accidental EVangelist: On my way to work at Apple one morning, my car was rear-ended (and totaled) by an SUV, driven by a guy playing with his smartphone.
This led me to get my first plug-in vehicle.
I started blogging about my experiences immediately.
A year later, in 2013, I was hired by the dealership as their "EVangelist."
I became a board member with the Texas Electric Transportation Resources Alliance (www.TxETRA.org) and perform public speaking in the DFW area regarding electric vehicles and environmental issues.
I also teach others how to sell plug-in vehicles or manage EV sales.
I'm on a mission.
