I’ve mentioned the coming end of the Texas’ Light-Duty Motor Vehicle Purchase or Lease Incentive (LDPLI) Program before. With only one week left in the program, I was interviewed by Texas Public Radio in order to inform the public about the program’s demise. The interview may be heard here.

Texas has extended the rebate program until July 8th!!!

The website for the program is here: https://www.tceq.texas.gov/airquality/terp/ld.html/#apply I checked the list of vehicles eligible for the rebate and did not see any Prius model mentioned.
The plug-in Prius should qualify, should it not?
Was the list last updated (8/14) before the plug-in Prius came on the market?
There is a requirement that plug-in vehicles have a battery size of at least 4 kWh. The 2015 plug-in Prius has a 4.4 kwh battery pack, so I’m not sure why it isn’t on the approved vehicle list. (non-plug-in vehicles do NOT qualify)
Only plug-in hybrids qualify from what I read.
