Volt road show comes to town!

Volt Road ShowOne quick update: Bonnie LOVES her Volt and doesn’t miss her Highlander at all! I have to admit, I was wondering how she’d like it. (yay!)

We went out to eat with friends one evening, and just outside the restaurant, there was a HUGE Volt display! The cars all had Michigan license plates, so the Volt road show had come to town. GM actually will pay you $10 to test drive a Volt, when the show is in your town! They know if people will just get in and experience what we owners of Volts experience every day, they’ll end up wanting to join the team.

I explained I already owned a 2012 Volt and they still wanted me to test drive a 2013. After the drive, they asked what I thought of the new Volt. I guess I was effusive in my praise because they sat me in a Volt that had a video camera on the dash and interviewed me.

(Okay, maybe I was a little excited, but I LOVE my Volt!)

About the author

An accidental EVangelist: On my way to work at Apple one morning, my car was rear-ended (and totaled) by an SUV, driven by a guy playing with his smartphone.
This led me to get my first plug-in vehicle.
I started blogging about my experiences immediately.
A year later, in 2013, I was hired by the dealership as their "EVangelist."
I became a board member with the Texas Electric Transportation Resources Alliance (www.TxETRA.org) and perform public speaking in the DFW area regarding electric vehicles and environmental issues.
I also teach others how to sell plug-in vehicles or manage EV sales.
I'm on a mission.
