A reporter from Wards Automotive recently found this blog and called to interview me about how Volt sales are being affected by the Bolt EV. Here’s the article.
About the author
An accidental EVangelist: On my way to work at Apple one morning, my car was rear-ended (and totaled) by an SUV, driven by a guy playing with his smartphone. This led me to get my first plug-in vehicle.
I started blogging about my experiences immediately.
A year later, in 2013, I was hired by the dealership as their "EVangelist."
I became a board member with the Texas Electric Transportation Resources Alliance (www.TxETRA.org) and perform public speaking in the DFW area regarding electric vehicles and environmental issues.
I also teach others how to sell plug-in vehicles or manage EV sales.
I'm on a mission.

Folks are discussing the article over at gm-volt forum.

There is one poster who disagrees with the premise of the article and thinks the real reason is GM not producing enough.
…but is then followed by a bunch of others who prove the article right. They owned a Volt as their first EV then got a Bolt as their second. Or were planning to get a volt and got a Bolt instead.
In my case we got the Volt after getting the Spark EV. And got the Bolt tp replace the Spark. A long range BEV and a good PHEV is the perfect combination.
