I had a GREAT time, last night, being interviewed on the What Drives Us video podcast. I am in episode #244, which hasn’t been posted yet.
I wish I’d found this podcast a long time ago. If you’re into EVs or hybrids, check this show out!
You can find them here on Facebook, here on their website or here on iTunes. It has shown up on YouTube.
Many thanks to last night’s What Drives Us panel: Russell Frost (Prius owner), Dr. Evan Fusco (Prius/Tesla owner), Tony Schaefer (Prius owner), Patrick Connor (Chevy S10 EV previous owner, Now a Leaf owner), Mark Coughlan (Volt owner) and Paul Guzyk (uh, Paul: What do you drive?).
Hello Buzz, watched you on What drives us. Great to see you on the panel this week. Your enthusiasm is amazing. We are in the UK and can assure you there are some dealers here who are excellent at selling EVs. You are clearly fighting your corner in Texas and your efforts day to day make a difference to all of us. We own a Soul EV in a one car household and the fast charging networks here enable traveling anywhere. Journeys of 1000 miles in an EV are easy and EV ownership is nearing 2% of sales so if you ever think your fighting a losing battle be assured your not. Good luck to you and continued success and be happy.
Mark, thanks for the encouragement! I love what I’m doing.
Good article:
“Pondering: Progression Of The EV Revolution (2017–2030)”
https://cleantechnica.com/2017/09/24/pondering-progression-ev-revolution/
Some key predictions:
2018: For many . . . people, the idea of an electric car in their life first enters their mind. For the first time, hundreds of thousands of people — or millions of people — are told, “You should get one!”
2022: 25–35% of new passenger car sales are plug-in cars in the USA and Europe.
2023: 35–50% of the new car market in the US and Europe are plug-in cars. In China, 50–70% of the new car market is plug-in cars.
Wow. This seems like a turning point:
“Mark Reuss, vice president of global product development for General Motors [said] his company will introduce two new EV models in the next 18 months with a total of 20 planned by the end of 2023. ‘GM believes the future is all electric,’ Reuss said.”

Maybe we have the Chinese to thank.
